How to create a Facebook business page

1. Go to the Facebook website and log in to your account.
2. On the home page, click Pages in the sidebar menu on the left.
3. In the menu on the left, click the Create New Page button.
4. On the left side of the next screen, enter a site name, choose a category, and write a description. On the right side of the page, you can see a preview of your page as you add information to it.
5. Scroll down and click Create page.
6. Then you can add images. Click Add Profile Photo or Add Cover Photo to upload photos from your device. Click Save below.
7. A pop-up window may appear asking if you want to connect your page to WhatsApp. Enter your phone number if desired and click Send Code. If you don’t want this, click the “X” icon in the top right corner of the popup.
8. Your new Facebook page is now created and you can continue to customize it as you wish.

Additional Installation Tips

Before you write the first post on your Page, please update your Page with additional information for your business.

1. Call to action

Add a call-to-action button to your business page by clicking Add a button in the top-right corner of your page. Select an action from the available options. Visitors can book appointments, contact you via Facebook Messenger, download your app and much more.

2. Choose a username for the site

Choose a username for the Page by clicking Create @Username below your cover photo and Page name. This username will be the web address of your business page (e.g. facebook.com/businessinsider).

3. Enter upcoming events

To add upcoming public events, click the Events tab at the top of your page and select Create New Event in the Upcoming Events section at the top right.

A quick tip: make it easy for your future fans to find information about your company’s upcoming events. Fans of your Page can express an interest in your events by clicking a button indicating their intention to participate.

4. Update the About section.

To get to the About section, click the More tab under your page name at the top of your page. Select About from the More drop-down list. Here you can add a location, opening hours, price range, contact details and more.

Click Settings in the sidebar menu on the left, then click Page Roles to assign roles to other colleagues or brand managers.

In the Assign a role to a new page section, enter a name or email address in the text box and select a role from the drop-down menu on the right: administrator, editor, moderator, advertiser, or analyst. Finally click on Add.

6. Discover publishing tools

7. Convert a personal profile to a company page

If you’ve used a personal Facebook profile for your business, you can convert it to a business page using Facebook’s conversion wizard.

Although the process is called conversion, your personal profile is actually copied onto one page. Your personal profile remains intact and a new page is created based on that profile. You can update the newly created page as a page created from scratch.

8. Select the page visibility

Facebook pages are published as soon as they are created. This means that an incomplete page will be visible to the public once it is created.

If you’d rather work on your page privately before making it public, you can update its visibility from the page settings menu – click Settings at the bottom of the sidebar menu on the left, then click the General tab Page Visibility to stop publishing of your page. cancel page.

This prevents the page from being available until you are ready to republish it. Don’t forget to update the visibility setting when you’re ready to post it.
